Service Description: The Walkable Urban (WU) Code is a form-based code that provides a new option for development in proximity to light rail stations to encourage more people arriving by walking, biking, and using transit. It also promotes a stronger mix of land uses, more diverse housing options, community amenities, and enhanced tree and shade standards. WU Code may be applied and is limited to land uses, subdivisions, and development within approved Transit Oriented Development (TOD) District boundaries as depicted on the Transit Oriented Communities Map.
