Description: The city of Phoenix enables residents to submit traffic signal or left-turn arrow installation requests. These requests are then studied and evaluated based on all applicable federal, state, and local engineering standards and guidelines, as well as engineering judgment. The data is intended to build a public interface that will allow the requestors to get details and updates on their submitted requests. Traffic Signal or Left-Turn Arrow installation requests are submitted using an online form, and the submitted feedback is then sent to a SharePoint list. This list has been geocoded into the dataset. Traffic Services engineers study the requests against applicable standards, locations, conflicts, and available funding. Based on these factors, the decision is then made whether to recommend or not recommend the installation of the device(s).This service has several fields that are intended to be filled out by the requester, providing contact information along with the request type (Signal, HAWK, or Left Turn Arrow) and the desired left turn arrow movement direction. New additions to the existing set of data will be made primarily in the "Traffic Signal Evaluation Requests" by Traffic Services engineers.
