While the city's GIS database contains information from different sources and agencies,
you can only search for information within the geographic boundaries of the city of Phoenix.
If you need information on the surrounding cities, you will need to visit their respective
Web sites.
Some data sets specific to the internal business of city departments, or those that are sensitive
in nature, are not available. Parcel data does NOT include ownership information.
All information in the city's GIS database is stored in a standard coordinate system: the Arizona
State Plane Coordinate System, Central. The datum used is NAD83.
The city of Phoenix geographic data includes (but is not limited to):
Basic Data - consists primarily of city limits, streets, freeways,
quarter sections, parcel and future freeways.
Discover Phoenix - includes city parks, libraries, pools, points of interest,
city golf courses and mountain preserves.
School Information - contains public school districts, public school attendance
boundaries, specific locations of public and many charter and private schools.
Residents- includes neighborhood associations, historic districts, Fight Back
areas, city parks and libraries.
Planning and Zoning Data - contains zoning, general planning.
Transportation Data - includes bikeways and bike bridges, speed humps, types
of traffic signals as well as the proposed route of the light rail line and light rail
stops.
